Exercise Journal: 15.05.2015

Straddle Practice:
– Wall Straddle: 1hr

I still feel kind of stuck. Probably going to use the strap and try to do isometric stretching with this.

Handstand Press Practice:
– Freestanding Negative Handstand Straddle Presses: 5

Just for fun.

Ashtanga Yoga: 1hr10
– Surya Namaskara A – Sun Salutation A
– Surya Namaskara B – Sun Salutation B
– Standing poses
– Primary Series (stopped at Bhuja Pidasana)
– Finishing Sequence

I was finally ready to come back to Ashtanga. Doing it in the evening was a good choice. I felt nice and loose and didn’t feel like I’d lost anything, but a little better. Like the jump up thing from forward fold to plank.

Straddle Practice:
– Pancake: 1hr

Managed almost completely flat back. I learned yesterday that if I just ease into it, hold a stretch until it becomes comfortable and then go further and repeat, then I become less frustrated.
